The Salmon Pledge Association was founded by a group of Canadians and Americans from the Pacific Coast, who saw that there was more that unites the communities of our region than divides us.

Our goal is to protect the communities, economy, environment, and relationships of the Pacific province and states of our two countries. Threats to international agreements and Canadian sovereignty from President Trump have forced us to reaffirm the bonds which connect our coast.

That’s why we’ve begun the Salmon Pledge campaign. We’re asking community leaders and residents of BC, Washington, Oregon, and California to pledge support for Canadian and West Coast products, mutual coordination on regional issues, and opposition to the American federal administration’s tariffs and pro-annexation language.

We call this the Salmon Pledge. Out here on the Pacific, salmon swim through the veins of our communities, and more importantly, they swim together.
