The Salmon Pledge Association was founded by a group of Canadians and Americans from the Pacific Coast who knew that there is more that unites the communities of our region than divides us.

Our goal is to protect the communities, economy, environment, and relationships of the Pacific province and states of our two countries. President Donald Trump’s threats to international agreements and Canadian sovereignty have pushed us to strongly reaffirm the bonds that connect our coast.

We’ve begun the Salmon Pledge campaign to ask community leaders and residents of BC, Washington, Oregon, and California to pledge support for Canadian and West Coast products, mutual coordination on regional issues, and opposition to the American federal administration’s tariffs and pro-annexation language.

We call this the Salmon Pledge. On the Pacific, salmon swim through the veins of our communities. More importantly, they swim together.
